We will be open for submissions from December 1st through January 31st, 2024. We encourage all writers to submit any original works of fiction. There will be a contributor honorarium of up to $250 payable upon publication as well as a grant of $250 issued to selected writers that consider Tustin home funded by The Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA). The $10 submission fee can be waived for special circumstances- just email publishing@arvidabookco.com with any requests. No submissions will be accepted via email.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the vibrant community that supports us here in Old Town Tustin. Stories are what have connected us in this space and what better way to celebrate storytelling and community than a literary journal dedicated to your voices.
Today, I would like to introduce you to our newest endeavor here at Arvida Book Company. Starting this spring we will be publishing The Arvida Review; it will be a literary journal to make Tustin proud. We will feature a collection of unique short stories and illustrations from local artists.

]]>How does it work? An online book fair will be created specifically for your school, featuring the summer reading lists created by your teachers and librarians. The books available for purchase through the book fair will be shipped directly to homes and a portion of the sales will be directed back to your classroom or library. This means that not only will you be promoting summer reading, you'll also be supporting your school and the hard-working teachers and librarians who make it a great place for kids to learn.
An online fundraiser saves you time and effort compared to traditional fundraisers, where you need to spend a lot of time and energy organizing activities and managing logistics. An online book fair takes care of everything, from promoting the books to making purchases, which means you can focus on what's important – promoting reading and supporting your school. Tailoring the book fair to your educators' and librarian's summer reading lists ensures that you receive relevant and high-quality reading material, which will encourage your students to engage with the books.
DM or email us (hello@arvidabookco.com) to get started. It only takes a few minutes to get your classroom’s virtual book fair ready to go!

Las Sirenas received accolades from audiences for highlighting the role of Chicana revolutionaries throughout history and student activism. Anatalia is looking forward to expanding the play and working on her second poetry collection.
She credits a big part of her success to her connection and commitment to community work and to the support of her family.

The Tolima region is situated in the middle of the Coffee Axis in Colombia, where some of the finest coffee in the world is grown. When our family visited Colombia pre-pandemic we had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in Mike’s culture and got to witness firsthand the pride that Colombian people take in their coffee.
Mike and I have been working tirelessly to bring together every element of the coffee shop, from the brand of alternative milk to the stir sticks to the style of lids and most importantly to the BEANS. We are thrilled to introduce our partnership with local award winning coffee roaster, with Stereoscope. Their single origin espresso roast, El Tambo, from Colombia will be our house espresso. We will also provide other great blends and single origin options for drip coffee, cold brew and pour overs.
We will specialize in coffee but will also have a full spectrum of products including a robust tea program and Kombucha from Old Town Tustin’s very own Rich Elixirs.
Please come try us out during our soft opening in the beginning of October as we ramp up to be at full capacity in the coming weeks. We will be offering a limited menu, but complimentary drinks in the beginning for you to try! We look forward to seeing you and getting your input!
Thank you
~Sam and Mike
Tolima Coffee Company will soft open with a limited menu on October 1st.
