250 years ago, a group of rebels made a declaration.

Right now, sitting down with your neighbors, reading something together, and having an open talk about it is not a small act. Community can be a form of rebellion and connection a form of revolution.

This summer, Arvida is launching We the Readers, a year-long community read-through of the founding documents. Common Sense, The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers.

Chapters will meet regularly throughout the year, hosted by community leaders across Tustin. The Arvida Book Company Foundation is providing copies of the documents and discussion guides.

We are opening these texts up through perspectives that have not always been part of the conversation, and we want every neighbor at the table.

We will also be hosting speakers and events throughout the year. If you have a perspective you would like to share, we want to hear it.
