A month in the life of a Los Angeles scriptwriter. Old grudges plague new opportunities as Neil Barnett is recruited into a script submission by an old friend and mentor. A good soul who's honest about his many flaws, Neil struggles to put his best foot forward in a fast-moving film project led by a dynamic woman he grows to admire. His missteps cause infighting, and at month's end (and his 40th birthday) he's in much different place than he hoped. This novel also contains a screenplay about iconic rocker Johnny Thunders.
