What is a fix-it-fair?

A Fix-It Fair is a community-oriented event aimed at promoting sustainability, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of repair. Our fix-it-fairs bring together individuals with various repair skills to provide free repair services to the one another. Visitors can bring items that need fixing and work alongside volunteers or professionals who share their expertise to help repair these items. This not only helps reduce landfill waste but also provides an opportunity for community members to learn practical repair skills. It’s about more than just fixing things; they're about building community, sharing knowledge, and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.

When do we have fix-it-fairs?

There is a fix-it-fair on the last Saturday of the month from 11-3 in the Arvida Book Co  parking lot.
